Eastern Insight Hub welcomes pitches that make a specific aspect of Asian cultural history clearer to general readers. A strong proposal is focused, well scoped and attentive to context rather than sweeping claims.
What to propose
We consider explainers, comparisons, historical background and close readings of a place, object, idea, language or practice. Proposals should identify the central question, explain why it matters to readers and show how the subject can be handled without treating a diverse region as a single story.
A useful pitch
Send a short summary of the proposed article, its main point, the intended scope and the sources or kinds of evidence that would support it. Mention any relevant experience, but do not assume that credentials replace a clear argument. Uncommissioned full drafts are not required.
How to send it
Submit proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include enough detail for an editor to understand the idea and its boundaries. A submission is not a promise of acceptance or publication.
