Editorial policy

Eastern Insight Hub aims to make cultural history clear without making it falsely neat. We explain the scope of each article, use precise language and review published work when readers identify a problem.

Accuracy and context

Writers and editors check names, dates, terminology and factual claims against suitable sources before publication. Articles identify the subject and scope rather than using a single practice, place or period to speak for all of Asia. Interpretation is presented as interpretation, not as settled fact.

Independence and disclosure

Editorial decisions are made for reader value and relevance. Commercial relationships do not determine conclusions. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work.

Corrections

Readers are welcome to flag an error or missing context through the Contact page. We review reports, make warranted changes and clarify substantive corrections in the relevant article. A correction does not guarantee that a proposed change will be accepted.

Images and illustration

Images are selected to support the subject and are not presented as proof of a claim. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where applicable, they are identified as illustrations and should not be read as documentary images.
